Love Electronics expands to the US.

Posted September 17, 2012 by Love Electronics in Blog.

Today we've finally made live the changes we've been working on for some time. Since Love Electronics was founded in March 2011, we've moved from shipping from our offices, to shipping from a warehouse in our own country, the UK, and now we are stocking our products in the US.

By stocking our .NET Gadgeteer and breakout boards in Los Angeles, California, we are able to serve North America with next day Love Electronics products. I know a lot of our American users were put off by the long delivery time from the UK, and the uncertainty over customs charges. Now however the price you pay at the checkout will be the price to your door.

Rather than force users which warehouse we will be shipping from, your able to choose which warehouse you want to use. If your in the UK and the item you really want is out of stock here, no problem, just tell us you'd like it shipping from the US.

We're growing faster than ever at the moment, thanks to all our great users. I hope this new warehouse is a indication of things to come from Love Electronics.

New Proto Modules and Video Tutorial

Posted September 11, 2012 by Love Electronics in Blog.

We've recently just put up two new modules for our .NET Gadgeteer range of products. The proto modules allow you make your own modules for your application. Not satisfied by being limited to just the modules available, and always wanting to create quick modules to use in a unique project, we felt these proto modules would go down a storm.

Check out our IMU module we made for our balancing robot. This demonstates that the Gadgeteer platform which Love Electronics is supporting is not a closed system. You can still wire up your parts as your used to when using Arduino or other such platforms. When you've created some interesting modules with the prototyping gadgeteer module be sure to take a photo and tell us all about it in the community forum.

As well as creating the Proto Module, we've also made a Gadgeteer video tutorial showing how you can use the unique features of the Argon R1 Gadgeteer mainboard to show video to an LCD screen at 23 frames per second! Follow along with this tutorial to see how you can transcode video for Gadgeteer, and how to write a simple application to get your own mini video player working.

Argon R1 - A New Gadgeteer Mainboard

Posted April 17, 2012 by Love Electronics in Blog.

We have something exciting to announce today. Since September 2011 we have been tirelessly working on our own range of .NET Gadgeteer products. If you've not yet heard about the huge new development platform .NET Gadgeteer pioneered by Microsoft Research Laboratories, the project combines high level languages (.NET) and pluggable electronics (via sockets) that enables anyone comfortable with computers to start building electronics projects immediately.
Development tools are free, and with new modules coming out all the time, what are you waiting for?

Today I can announce the first of Love Electronics own line of .NET Gadgeteer products, the Argon R1. The Argon R1 is a .NET Gadgeteer mainboard with a host of features common to existing mainboards and many unique to the Argon R1.
The Argon R1 is competitively priced to other .NET Gadgeteer mainboards at £69.99, approximately $91.65 or €86.54.
